INITIAL PHONEMIC SOUND

The first step to early reading is for children to know their basic phonemic letter sounds.

Aimed at Grade 0(R) – Grade 1 these beautifully designed letter sounds make it easy for children to remember what sound each letter makes by visually remembering a picture within each letter. This letter sound alphabet is also available in Nelson Script.

a for apple

m for mouse

d for dog

g for girl

z for zip

1. Letter Sound Flash Cards

The flash cards are an A6 (105x148mm) size and are double sided with the pictured letter on the one side and the plain letter on the other side. Once the child is comfortable with each letter sound using the pictured letters you can test them without a visual aid. The cards are strong, laminated and wipeable for regular use.

2. Letter Sound Wall Charts
